What exactly is now okay in terms of sketches? I know they're allowed and that they're just not wanted in the Portal, hence the tick box for it, but like
Sometimes I just scribble something out that I end up really liking but never finishing and I just have a TON of those comparatively to actual finished items...

Really depends. I'm not an art portal mod, but if you post a really nice sketch and tick the box that says its not a sketch, it'll probably slide and people will like it.
If you dont tick the checkbox it basically just only posts the pic to your followers and to your gallery or whatever.
You do some alright stuff so it'll probably slide heheh
